In November, the Cultural Center of Buin, Chile, hosted an event dedicated to promoting Kazakh culture,El.kz citesdimashnews.com.

The evening brought together music, poetry, and dance to immerse the audience in the atmosphere of Kazakhstan and strengthen the bond of friendship between the two nations.

The event began with video greetings for Chile sent by Maestro Marat Aitimov, backing vocalist Rasul Usmanov, dombra players Yernat and Temirlan, and others. A letter with warm wishes for Chilean Dears from Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Bolat Nussupov was read from the stage, adding a special sense of solemnity to the evening.

Artists, dancers, and musicians performed throughout the event. Nine-year-old Maximo Leon captivated the audience with his renditions of Dimash’s “Adagio” in Italian and “Unforgettable Day” in Kazakh.

Particular attention was drawn to performances by Pablo Romero, who concluded his show with a vibrant interpretation of “Daididau,” accompanied by a dance performed by three participants in traditional Kazakh costumes, and Kiria Dominguez, who delivered a stunning saxophone performance of several of Dimash’s pieces.

The highlight of the evening was the performance by the dance group “A Flor de Piel,” which built a cultural bridge between Chile and Kazakhstan by performing various styles of Cueca – the national dance of Chile – with lyrics dedicated to Dimash. The audience was also impressed by Chilean Dears from the local fan club, who presented choreography to Dimash’s songs “When I’ve Got You” and “Daididau.”

“I want to personally thank the organizers – Claudia Lobos and Carmen Sandoval – as well as all the Dears for this wonderful event. I didn’t expect such a profound immersion into my culture. It was incredibly emotional,” shared Sharapiya Kakimova, a Kazakh resident of Santiago.

The organizers emphasized that their primary goal was to strengthen ties with Kazakhstan and introduce the people of Buin to the culture and art of the homeland of their favorite artist.
