Equilibrist from Almaty wins circus Oscar in Monte Carlo

An artist from Almaty, Taisiya Demidova, impressed the jury and the audience at the 11th New Generation Festival, held as part of the 46th Monte Carlo International Circus Festival. The equilibrist of the Kazakh State Circus was awarded the prestigious Bronze Junior award, which is considered the circus "Oscar". Her performance with the number "Equilibrium with hula hoops" amazed the audience, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akim of Almaty.

In addition to the bronze medal, Taisia Demidova was awarded two special awards: "Prize of Friends of the Italian Circus" and "Special Prize of the Department of National Education and Sports". These successes highlight her talent and skill in circus art.

The head of the Department of Culture of Almaty, Gani Mailibayev, expressed joy for Taisiya and stressed that her achievements confirm the importance of developing the creative potential of artists in the city.

"This is one of the most prestigious awards in the field of circus art. We are very happy for our Taisia and are confident that she will reach great heights in her career. The Akimat of Almaty pays great attention to the development of the creative potential of our artists," said Gani Mailibayev, head of the Almaty Department of Culture.
