EPC contract signed for construction of water pipeline from Satpayev Canal to Astana

A solemn ceremony of signing an EPC contract for the construction of a water pipeline and pumping stations from the Kanysh Satpayev Canal to Astana with the construction a pumping and filtering station No. 4, a key infrastructure project in the water supply system of the capital was held in Astana, El.kz reports citing primeminister.kz.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Han Chunlin attended the event.
The preparation of the EPC contract was carried out in close cooperation between the Kazakh and Chinese sides, with an emphasis on compliance with international standards of design, environmental safety and construction efficiency. Construction work on the project will begin in April 2025.

The signing of the EPC contract was an important step towards the implementation of a large-scale task - the sustainable development of the urban environment and the strengthening of the Kazakh-Chinese partnership in the field of infrastructure investments, the report says.
