Energy dialogue development between Kazakhstan and Moldova discussed in Chisinau

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova Almat Aidarbekov met with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Junghietu, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan congratulated his interlocuter on the appointment to a high position and expressed his willingness to cooperate in the development of bilateral relations.

The parties also discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries and issues of its expansion, noting the importance of holding an intergovernmental commission in 2025.

Ambassador Aidarbekov informed the Minister about the positive dynamics in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian relations. In the context of the existing good economic potential, the Kazakh diplomat noted the creation of the Kazakh-Moldovan Business Council and the institutional network of honorary consuls of Kazakhstan in the regions of Moldova.

In turn, Minister Junghietu presented the priorities of his department, including in the development of renewable energy in the country and expressed interest in Kazakhstan's investment activities in the energy sector.

The Minister particularly welcomed the opening of the Moldovan Embassy in Kazakhstan, indicating the desire to deepen bilateral Kazakh-Moldovan relations. During the conversation, the Moldovan partner was invited to Kazakhstan Energy Week – 2025/XVI Eurasian KAZENERGY Forum.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts to share experiences across the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation.
