Emirates seek in developing inter-parliamentary cooperation with Kazakhstan

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Madiyar Menilbekov met with Chairman of the UAE Federal National Council Saqr Ghobash, El.kz cites MFA.

The meeting discussed ways to further develop cooperation between the two countries, including deepening cooperation in the interparliamentary, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Ambassador Madiyar Menilbekov congratulated Saqr Gobash on his re-election as Chairman of the Federal National Council on November, 2023 and wished him success in the Council’s activities. In addition, the Kazakh diplomat spoke in detail about the important political, economic and social reforms implemented in Kazakhstan on the initiative of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and based on the principle of a strong “President - influential Parliament – accountable Government”, including the latest amendments and additions to the Constitution.

According to Saqr Gobash, relations between Kazakhstan and the UAE are dynamically developing from year to year with the support of the leadership of the two countries and as a result of mutual visits organized at different levels.

The sides stressed the importance of activating the process of the cooperation group and organizing mutual visits of the leadership of the parliaments of the two countries in order to give additional impetus to inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on joint work on the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
