Domestic pharmaceutical production increases by 33% in Kazakhstan

The volume of production of basic pharmaceutical products  in January-December 2024 in Kazakhstan amounted to 171.6 billion tenge, which is 21.8% more than in the same period in 2023, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Bureau of national statistics of Agency for strategic planning and reforms of Kazakhstan.

The volume of drug production in January-December 2024 in physical terms increased by 33.2%, reaching 167.3 billion tenge (January-December 2023 – 125.6 billion tenge).

The production of other pharmaceuticals increased by 13.3%, amounting to 13.1 billion tenge (January-December 2023 – 11.6 billion tenge).

Currently, 10 enterprises are engaged in the production of pharmaceutical products in Kazakhstan.
