Development of Digital Code discussed in Kazakh Government
First Deputy PM Roman Sklyar held a meeting of the Council for Improving the Investment Climate, during which topical issues of digitalization and the development of the Digital Code of Kazakhstan were discussed, El.kz reports with reference to Primeminister.kz.
Roman Sklyar noted that in recent years, Kazakhstan has carried out large-scale digitalization reforms. The government is creating favorable conditions for the development of digital technologies, as well as artificial intelligence.
To date, over 92% of public services are provided in electronic form, including 86% available from a smartphone.
Active work is underway to introduce artificial intelligence in various spheres of life.
Together with NVIDIA, Coursera, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, training programs are being implemented with free certification in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Kazakhstan also aims to be a key participant in the new Silk Road in the digital world.
The main document in this direction will be the Digital Code, which will enshrine the guiding principles of the country's digitalization. It will make it possible to implement new approaches to the regulation of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, to create a safe and comfortable digital environment for citizens and businesses.
During the meeting, reports were made by AmCham Executive Director Doris Bradbury, Ambassadors of Great Britain and Italy to Kazakhstan Kathy Leach and Marco Alberti, EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia Hussein Ozhan, World Bank Country Manager for Andrei Mikhnev, as well as representatives of Dentons, Microsoft and Google, Tuleushin Kanysh, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry made comments on the ongoing work on the development of the Digital Code.
Summing up the meeting of the Council, Roman Sklyar stressed the readiness and openness of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to discussions, recommendations and new projects aimed at building up mutually beneficial partnership.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also instructed to work out all the voiced recommendations and proposals for the further development of digital technologies in the country.
