Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in inter-parliamentary field discussed in Riyadh
Ambassador of Kazakhstan Madiyar Menilbekov met with the Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation in the inter-parliamentary field were discussed, as well as opportunities for its further development and timelines for exchanging mutual visits.
Ambassador Menilbekov briefed about the political and socio-economic reforms carried out in Kazakhstan. In addition, the Kazakh diplomat expressed gratitude to the Speaker and representatives of the Kingdom for supporting the initiatives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and for their contribution to the popularization of the ideas and values of interreligious harmony.
Dr. Abdullah Al Sheikh, having briefly outlined the mechanism of the Council’s work and its legislative and supervisory role, emphasized that Kazakhstan is one of the key political and economic partners of Saudi Arabia in Central Asia. Close ties have been established between the two countries, including at the highest level.
