Closing sky over Astana: what passengers need to know

From April 22 to May 7, 2025, temporary restrictions on the use of airspace are introduced in Astana due to the preparations for a military parade,El.kz reports citing Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.
According to official information, from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. training flights of military aviation will be carried out daily over the capital. These measures are related to preparations for a solemn military parade timed to coincide with Victory Day.
Passengers are advised to take into account possible changes in the flight schedule in advance and, if necessary, contact the airlines or the airport information service for up-to-date information.
When planning flights during this period, especially in the morning and afternoon hours, it is recommended to check the status of flights in advance to avoid inconvenience.
