Chinese leader: We pay great attention to relations with Kazakhstan

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

The President of Kazakhstan thanked the President of the People's Republic of China for accepting the invitation and arriving in our country.

“This is your first foreign trip since the pandemic, so this visit is historic. I consider it evidence of a high level of mutual trust and cooperation. As you know, I attended the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games on February 5 this year. I fondly remember our meeting in Beijing”- the Head of State said.

In turn, Xi Jinping said that he was glad to visit Kazakhstan again, and expressed gratitude to the President for the invitation to make a state visit and the hospitality of the Kazakh people. The Chairman of the People's Republic of China highly appreciated the level of Kazakh-Chinese relations and expressed confidence that this visit will give a new impetus to their further strengthening. He stressed that China supports Kazakhstan's position on regional and international issues.

“Without any doubt, under your leadership, the people of Kazakhstan will achieve new successes in the matter of state-building and national revival. Once again, I would like to assure you that the Chinese Government pays great attention to relations with Kazakhstan. We have brought bilateral relations to the level of an eternal comprehensive strategic partnership, which has no analogues in Chinese diplomacy, having achieved their breakthrough development. Today, Kazakh-Chinese relations have reached a new historical start” - Xi Jinping said.
