Chinese company plans to build a woodworking enterprise in Semey
An important initiative to attract international investment in Kazakhstan was announced at a meeting of the head of the region Nurlan Urankhayev with representatives of the Chinese company Luyi Country Hongyao Furniture Co.Ltd, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akim of the Abai region.
The head of the Chinese company, Yongquan Lu, spoke about the wide capabilities of his enterprise, which has already established itself in the international furniture market.
- We are engaged in the production of wooden tiles, cabinet and upholstered furniture in China. Our products are exported to Europe, North America and the United Arab Emirates. Now our goal is, together with Universal SM LLP, to create a woodworking enterprise in Semey and the production of wooden tiles, cabinet and upholstered furniture for the domestic market, as well as their export to the countries of Central Asia and China," Yongquan Lu said.
It is planned that Universal SM LLP, as part of the investment project, will begin construction of a woodworking plant in the industrial zone of the city of Semey. This will be a significant step for the economic development of the region, creating new jobs and increasing the competitiveness of local products.
Nurlan Urankhayev stressed the importance of attracting investment to the region:
- Our region is always open to investors. We are ready to provide support within the framework of the law. Business partnerships not only strengthen relations between countries, but also contribute to the creation of new jobs and increased competition. Construction is actively underway in our region, and the demand for wood products will only grow.
During the meeting, representatives of the Chinese company asked a number of questions and received comprehensive answers. Deputy akims of the region and heads of departments were given appropriate instructions for further work, which indicates the serious intentions of both parties to implement the project as soon as possible.
