Chinese bank intends to invest in number of projects in Kazakhstan

Vice Minister of Finance Dauren Kenbeil held a meeting with the General Director of the representative office in Astana of China Construction Bank Corporation Mr. Wang Songhua, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current trends in the Kazakh and Chinese stock markets, as well as opportunities for Kazakhstan to issue government bonds in the Chinese market (Panda bonds).

Mr. Wang Songhua spoke about the investment attractiveness of the Panda bond issue, and also introduced the terms and procedures of the issue.

Also, Mr. Wang Songhua spoke about the ongoing work of the Bank to finance current projects in Kazakhstan and further intentions to invest in the most priority sectors of the economy, including projects in the road and railway industries.

At the end of the meeting, D. Kenbeil thanked Mr. Wang Songhua for his contribution to the development of the economy of Kazakhstan and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
