China Jingshi Institute opened in Kazakhstan
The opening of the Chinese Institute of Jingshi (Petroleum Engineering Technology) took place at Utebayev University, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The educational institution will train highly qualified specialists in the field of petroleum engineering. Here, future professionals will be able to improve their practical skills and qualifications using advanced technologies.
Over 25 English-speaking students are studying at the institute, for whom it is planned to exchange experience in China. The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the One Belt, One Road project.
"Jingshi Institute is known for its world-class educational standards and technological advancements. Thanks to the project, Kazakh students will have access to international educational programs and the opportunity to listen to lectures by professors from leading universities in China. In the near future, professors will arrive from the Chinese college to give lectures at our university on the oil and gas industry and drone technologies," said Almagul Turdagaliyeva, head of the Department of International Educational Programs and Academic Mobility.
Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co. is implementing a strategic program for the internationalization of education in Central Asia. The program covers training in the field of energy, chemical industry, metallurgy, oil and gas business and the production of new materials. Last year, an agreement was signed between the company and Utebayev University. The cooperation between Utebayev University and Jingshi Institute (Petroleum Engineering Technology) under this agreement will give a new impetus to the training of personnel for the country's oil and gas industry and the development of research potential.
