By the decree of the Head of State, Dmitry Malakhov has been appointed as the Chairman of Supreme Judicial Council of Kazakhstan, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
On September 16, 2024, Malakhov was relieved of his post as the chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM).
Also, from March 2022 to October 2023, Dmitry Malakhov served as First Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
The Supreme Judicial Council was established to ensure constitutional powers of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to form courts, guarantees of judges' independence and immunity.
