Bulgaria's expert community notes significant progress in modernization of Kazakhstan's political system
A round table meeting on the topic «Early parliamentary election in Kazakhstan: an expert view from Bulgaria» was held in Sofia, El.kz cites MFA.
Among the participants of the round table were representatives of the Bulgarian expert community, scientific and academic, media circles as well as members of the Kazakhstan`s Friendship Club: chairman of the Federation of Friendship with Russia and the CIS Peoples Zakhari Zakhariyev, chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists Snezhana Todorova, professor of the Varna Free University Nina Dyulgerova, Professor of the Sofia University named after St. Kliment Ohridski Nako Stefanov, “FAKTI”`s journalist Milena Simidchiyeva and etc.
In his opening speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev explained in detail to the audience the conceptual foundations and features of the upcoming elections, which are conditioned by the need for a crucial reboot of the political system and are the final stage in the cycle of political renewal of state institutions in Kazakhstan. He also noted that the elections fully comply with the spirit of the constitutional reforms supported in June 2022 by the majority of citizens in the republican referendum.
“The upcoming elections will further contribute to the creation of a Just and Fair Kazakhstan – a prosperous society with a vibrant, dynamic and competitive political system. Such a state will certainly be an even stronger and more reliable partner in the international community, including for Bulgaria,” the Kazakh diplomat concluded.
The free discussion within the framework of the round table demonstrated the keen interest among Bulgarian experts in the large-scale political modernization taking place in Kazakhstan and the upcoming election to the Mazhilis of the Parliament and maslikhats of Kazakhstan.
In their reviews and comments, the participants of this event highly appreciated the approach of the Kazakh authorities to the modernization of the country`s political system and the search for new ways that lay positive trends for the successful development of the state. In their convincing opinion, at a time when the world is facing geopolitical and geo-economic risks and challenges, stable and prosperous Kazakhstan meets the interests not only of its citizens, but also far beyond the Central Asian region. The participants welcomed the reform process and confirmed their full support to the leadership of Kazakhstan in implementation of the goals and objectives.
At the end of the event, the experts also noted the progressive nature of the development of relations between Astana and Sofia, highly appreciating the current level and prospects of interstate cooperation.
