Bektenov instructs ministries to work out proposals of experts on reforming fiscal sphere
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov met with representatives of the expert community in the field of economy and entrepreneurship to discuss measures and approaches of the economic bloc of the Government to achieve sustainable economic growth, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin reported on the current economic situation in the country and voiced approaches to fiscal reform to solve the problems of industrial development, infrastructure modernization, and launch of new growth points in the regions.
The meeting participants discussed the drafts of the new Tax and Budget Codes, which enshrine measures to stabilize public finances and their effective use.
Chairman of the Presidium of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Raimbek Batalov, Chair of the Board of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan Meiram Pshembayev, Executive director of the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises Nikolay Radostovets, President of the Association of Developers of Kazakhstan Viktor Mikryukov, Chairman of the pharmaceutical, medical industry and medical services committee of the Presidium of NCE RK Nurzhan Otarbayev, Chairperson of the Board, Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan Elena Bakhmutova, Chairman of the KAZENERGY Association Magzum Mirzagaliyev attended the event.

Gumilyov Eurasian National University Zhaksybek Kulekeyev, Rassul Rysmambetov, Chairman of the Board of the NAC Analytica CF (NU), Darmen Sadvakasov, Managing Partner of Dasco Consulting group LLP, Dana Tokmurzina, General Director of Fortune Partners LLP, Head of the MNU School of Tax Law, Rustam Zhursunov, Chairman of the Public Council for Public Finance of the Ministry of Finance Rustam Zhursunov, Head of the analytical group "Commentary", economist Eldar Shamsutdinov shared their expert opinions.
The discussion was also attended by Directors of the Center of Applied Research “TALAP" Rakhim Oshakbayev,Head of the Analytical Center DESHT Institutional Transformation Group Kuanysh Zhaikov, Economist Galymzhan Aitkazin,Financial analyst Andrey Chebotarev, Managing Partner of Visor Kazakhstan, Almas Chukin and others.
The Prime Minister thanked the participants of the meeting for the constructive dialogue and instructed the Ministries of National Economy and Finance to work out the voiced proposals on reforming the fiscal sphere.
"The President has set the task of changing the structure of the economy with the strengthening of the development of the real sector. Therefore, the reforms under discussion are important for the country. Fiscal reform will become an effective mechanism for improving the work on further development of the economy," Olzhas Bektenov emphasized.
The government continues to actively work with experts to work out the most effective measures to stimulate economic growth.
