Baiterek Holding allocates 6 trln tenge to support business and housing sector in 2024

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek NMH JSC Rustam Karagoishin, El.kz reports via Aqorda.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the 2024 results of Kazakhstan's National Management Holding "Baiterek."
It was noted that in 2024, the volume of support provided by the holding amounted to about 6 trillion tenge. Of these, 4.1 trillion tenge was allocated to support large, medium and small businesses, another 1.9 trillion tenge to the housing and construction sector.
The President was informed that at the end of the reporting year, holding's assets reached 14.1 trillion tenge. Investment and loan portfolios were increased to 10.3 trillion tenge, and net profit amounted to 416 billion tenge. According to Rustam Karagoishin, these funds are planned to be used to implement support programs within the holding group of companies.
In addition, the Head of State was informed about the launch of a number of initiatives to attract foreign direct investment, including joint funds with foreign partners in the agricultural, manufacturing and mining and metallurgical industries. These funds are formed in the jurisdiction of the Astana International Financial Centre.
The President noted the importance of implementing the presented initiatives for the sustainable economic growth of the country. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed Baiterek Holding, together with second-tier banks, to provide financing for the real sector of the economy, to work out the issue of attracting funds for the implementation of the National Project for the Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors.
The Head of the State emphasized the need for effective implementation of the plans.
