Astana will host the VI Summer Men's Boxing Olympics, which is held every four years, El.kz reports with reference to the official website of the capital's akimat.
The Spartakiad will be held from November 13 to 19 at the Beeline Arena sports complex. Over 250 athletes from all regions of the country will take part in the tournament. Among them are world champions Saken Bibossynov, Sanjar Tashkenbay, Mahmud Sabyrkhan, Nurbek Oralbay and others.
The fights will be held according to the Olympic system. The strongest will be determined in 13 weight categories (46-48 kg, 51 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 63.5 kg, 67 kg, 71 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 86 kg, 92 kg, +92 kg).
All fights will be broadcast live on the Qazsport TV channel. Broadcasts will begin daily at 12:00.
The finals will take place on November 19.
Based on the results of the Spartakiad, the composition of the national team of Kazakhstan will be formed to participate in the upcoming major international competitions.
