Astana to host Run for Autism charity race

On April 26, Astana Botanical Garden will host the annual Run for Autism charity race, timed to coincide with the Autism Awareness Month, announced by the UN. This year, the event is also dedicated to supporting mental health - in particular, people facing depression, anxiety and other psycho-emotional conditions, El.kz reports.
The race is not only sports, but also socially significant. All funds raised will be used to develop inclusive education for children with autism and other special needs.
"This is not just a sporting event, but a real opportunity to influence the lives of special children, to help them gain access to quality education," the organizers noted.
According to the organizers, about 1800 participants have already joined the event, and the total number of expected guests is more than 2500 people. London and Istanbul have also joined the initiative.
