Astana to host children's ice hockey tournament

From February 4 to 6, 2024, for the first time in history, a large-scale republican ice hockey tournament among rural children's and youth teams "SAMRUK BALA CUP" will be held in Astana, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Astana.

Over 24 teams from different regions of Kazakhstan will participate at the event.

This is the second competition in a series of planned children's tournaments within the framework of the ALTYN SHAIBALY project, the general sponsor of which is the Samruk-Kazyna-Trust Social Projects Development Fund.

The mission of the project is to increase interest among children in hockey and further popularize and develop rural children's and youth hockey in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
