Astana Opera to present concert series Creators of Eternal Values
Astana Opera will present a concert series Creators of Eternal Values. The first event in the series will be an exciting musical evening All about Love featuring the opera house’s star soloists, El.kz cites astanaopera.kz.
The concert will take place at the Kulyash Baiseitova Chamber Hall on February 14.
Famous Kazakh vocalists will be performing on the opera house stage: Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan Talgat Mussabayev and Saltanat Akhmetova, as well as Tatyana Vitsinskaya, Rassul Zharmagambetov, Ramzat Balakishiyev and Artur Gabdiyev. Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Dolores Umbetaliyeva, Zhanyl Sembekova will perform the piano. Famous opera arias, art songs and songs on the eternal theme of love will be performed in a nuanced interpretation by masters of the classical genre.
“The Creators of Eternal Values chamber concerts series is aimed at introducing listeners to the best examples of world musical culture, including both popular and rarely performed works by outstanding national and foreign composers. Art connoisseurs will learn new facets of the great classics’ creative work and get a lot of impressions,” Talgat Mussabayev, opera company director of Astana Opera, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, said.
“Winter is coming to an end and there is an eagerness for everything around to bloom, to feel the approach of spring. At this time, you feel the need to give wonderful emotions, love, kindness, good mood, which we will strive to do at this musical evening, to which we invite all residents and guests of the capital,” the famous baritone Talgat Mussabayev concluded.
It is important to note that in addition to the concert All about Love, the February program of the Kulyash Baiseitova Chamber Hall will also feature Gaetano Donizetti’s effervescent comic opera Don Pasquale. The spectacular performance will take place on February 19 and 20 as part of the popular project Piccolo Theatre.
Astana Opera’s soloists, orchestra, choir and supernumeraries will perform these days under the baton of the holder of the Order of Qurmet Ruslan Baimurzin. The heroes of the opera masterpiece by the outstanding Italian composer are prepared by the opera house’s brilliant soloists. Thus, Shyngys Rassylkhan, Yerzhan Saipov will perform the title role of Don Pasquale, Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Zhannat Baktay, Libuse Santorisova (Czech Republic) will take the stage as Norina, Artur Gabdiev, Alikhan Zeynolla will present the part of Ernesto, Dr. Malatesta – Rassul Zharmagambetov, Sultan Bakytzhan, Carlino – Ramzat Balakishiyev, Talgat Allabirinov.
Young viewers will not be left without attention either: on February 15, a children’s concert Music Draws and Tells from the Visit to the Opera Houseseries will be held at the Chamber Hall. The children will learn about the capabilities of musical instruments to depict artistic imagery captured in the classical composers’ canvases. The palette of musical colours will be accompanied by a visual series: sand drawings and paintings by great artists will illustrate the concert numbers onscreen. Performances by opera soloists, instrumentalists and the Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra, led by Maestro Ruslan Baimurzin will delight the children’s audience.
