Area of crops in Karaganda region increased by 43 thousand hectares

At the agricultural council in the Karaganda region, agricultural producers discussed the readiness for spring field work. This year, the area of crops in the region will be increased by an average of 43.7 thousand hectares and will amount to 1,105.5 thousand hectares The meeting was attended by akim of the Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev and Vice Minister of Agriculture Abulkhair Tamabek, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akimat of the Karaganda region.

Mass sowing of grain crops in the region will begin in the first decade of May. Currently, the preparation of agricultural machinery for work is being completed.

In total, more than 9.5 thousand tractors, 248 sowing complexes and 4774 seeders will be involved in the sowing campaign.

"The primary task facing us now is the timely and high-quality conduct of spring field work," said Askar Sanaubarov, head of the Department of Agriculture. - For spring sowing, 106,5 thousand tons of grain seeds and 42 thousand tons of potato seeds were poured, which fully covers the domestic need. More than 3.5 billion tenge was allocated from the budget for subsidies for high-quality seeds, mineral fertilizers and herbicides”
