Dear compatriots!

We, members of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan - representatives of ethno-cultural associations, scientific and expert council, association of departments, councils of public consent, councils of mothers, club of journalists and experts, council of mediators, association of businessmen, republican youth movement "Zhangyru Zholy", public organizations and establishments of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan fully support the decision on renaming the capital into the city Nur-Sultan.

Assignment of the capital named after the First President of Kazakhstan is a logical recognition of the outstanding merits of Yelbassy in building an independent Kazakhstan.

We especially emphasize that the transfer of the capital of Kazakhstan is a strategic project and initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev, which opened a new page in the history of the country.

Thanks to this step, Kazakhstan received an impulse for development in difficult times, which allowed successfully overcoming the difficulties of the transition period.

Today, when Yelbassy opened a new stage of development of the country, the assignment of the capital named after the First President of Kazakhstan will be a landmark signal to the world about the invariability and continuity of the strategic course of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the development of Kazakhstan as a sovereign, democratic, legal and social state.

Thus, Kazakhstan asserts its deep commitment to the inviolability of the constitutional principles of the country's development - social accord and political stability, inter-ethnic and inter-confessional peace, and Kazakhstani patriotism.

Thanks to his political leadership and steady political will, Yelbassy has set high moral standards in relations between the countries, deserved deep respect and gratitude of the international community for his contribution to the development of a peaceful multi-vector foreign policy of our country, consistent efforts on nuclear disarmament, formation of an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the international arena.

We are deeply convinced that the historical merits of Nursultan Nazarbayev should become an example for all future generations of the people of the Great Steppe as an example of selfless service to the people and devotion to the ideals of freedom and independence.

The name of the capital named after the First President is our civic duty and sincere gratitude to Yelbassy for service to the people of Kazakhstan.

The capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, symbolizes our responsibility to future generations for making Kazakhstan an economically strong and prosperous country and for its citizens to live in wealth, peace and harmony.

We firmly believe that the name of Nur-Sultan will remain inextricably linked to the concept of "Mangilik El" in the history of Kazakhstan, the national historical consciousness, and the community of high spiritual values.

We, the members of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, express our firm commitment and support to this historic step and call upon the citizens of our country to unite on the basis of the time-tested principle of national unity - "one people, one country, one destiny".

We must do everything to make the capital Nur-Sultan a symbol of unity, peace and prosperity in the blessed Kazakh land!
