Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran awarded as Diplomat of Year
The 5th international meeting entitled “Diplomacy of Nauryz” was held in Tehran, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Islamic Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, representatives of the intellectual community, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Tehran.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Ontalap Onalbayev spoke at the meeting, congratulating the Iranian people on the holiday of Nauryz and said that in Kazakhstan, as in Iran, this holiday is widely celebrated.
The Kazakh diplomat noted that the celebration of Nauryz in Kazakhstan will be held in an updated format within the framework of the Nauryznama Decade, in accordance with the concept of Nauryznama approved in 2024 by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and touched upon each thematic area of this decade separately.
The Ambassador also drew attention to the special role of Nauryz diplomacy in strengthening ties between states and peoples, noting the importance of fully using the potential of Nauryz diplomacy in the future.
The meeting participants warmly welcomed the speech of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan and spoke in favor of further promoting the values of Nauryz as a clear evidence of the historical and cultural community of countries.
During the meeting, high-ranking officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Islamic Affairs of Iran spoke in detail about the history of Nauryz and how this holiday is celebrated today.
It is noteworthy that following the event, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran was awarded the “Best Diplomat of the Year” prize in the “Nauryz Diplomacy” nomination among diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Iran.
