Almost 1 trln tenge of investments attracted to Astana since beginning of year
Astana occupies a leading position in terms of investments in housing construction, the non-resource sector, as well as in terms of the total volume of fixed assets. Temirlan Keldibayev, Deputy Head of the Department for Investment and Entrepreneurship Development of the city, spoke about how much have invested in the development of the capital at a briefing in the Communications Service, El.kz reports with reference to the official website of the capital's akimat.
For 9 months of this year, the volume of investments in fixed assets increased by 5.3%, reaching 959.2 billion tenge. Astana occupies high positions in terms of investments in housing construction (2nd place) and the non-resource sector (2nd place), as well as in terms of total investment in fixed assets (3rd place).
"In terms of foreign direct investment, in the first half of this year, 793.7 million US dollars were invested, which was an increase of 79% compared to the same period in 2022. The plan for 2023 exceeds $1,091 million," the speaker said.
A favorable investment climate has been created in the capital. In particular, work is underway to reduce administrative barriers and simplify the interaction of investors with government agencies.
For the successful implementation of investment projects and support for entrepreneurship, the front office of the Astana Development Center operates, which operates on the principle of "one window" and provides support for projects.
Assistance is also provided by specialists of Astana Invest, the management company of special economic zones of the capital, as well as SEC Astana JSC, whose activities are aimed at implementing projects together with investors.
