Akim of Almaty Erbolat Dossaev met with Ambassador of Turkey to Kazakhstan
During the first visit to Almaty of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mustafa Kapucu, issues of cooperation in the economic, trade and investment spheres were discussed, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Almaty Akimat.
As the Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dossaev noted, a number of projects with the participation of Turkish capital are currently successfully operating in the city. TAV Airports Holding has begun work on the construction of a new terminal at Almaty International Airport, which will double the capacity of the air harbor to 14 million passengers per year. The international concern Iskefe Holding is building a plant for the production of gelatin. Celkonsan Stroy LLP is implementing a project for the production of metal barrier fences, railings for bridges and road groups. Other equally significant joint projects include the pharmaceutical production of Nobel Pharmaceuticals (Nobel AFF JSC), the production of sandwich panels, refrigerators and freezers of Akay Trade LLP, the network of medical centers for diagnosis and treatment of Orhun Medical LLP, etc.
According to the head of the city, Turkish enterprises are making long-term plans and are looking for opportunities to expand their activities. Attracting capital from Turkey gives a powerful impetus to the development of the city's economy.
The largest investment projects are being implemented in the industrial zone of Almaty and the special economic zone "Park of Innovative Technologies", where companies are provided with access to engineering infrastructure, preferential conditions for doing business have been introduced.
The parties noted that cooperation between Almaty and Turkey is developing in the spirit of an expanded strategic partnership based on the close brotherhood of our peoples. Following the meeting, agreements were reached on further strengthening the partnership.
