Agreements with department stores to stabilize prices concluded in Turkestan

In Turkestan, a set of measures is being implemented to stabilize prices for socially significant food products. Negotiations were held and memorandums were concluded with 25 retail outlets in the city. Stores that have entered into an agreement under the memorandum should not set premiums to the original price of food by more than 15%.

In case of detection of price increases in relation to the store owner who concluded the agreement, administrative measures will be applied, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akimat of the Turkestan region

In addition, in order to ensure the stability of food prices in the regional center, 13 social stores and social corners were opened in 27 retail outlets.

Currently, within the framework of the memorandum, in order to stabilize prices for socially significant food products, a working group is monitoring. It includes employees of the akimat of the city of Turkestan and the department of entrepreneurship and trade of the Turkestan region.

In total, there are 25 large supermarkets, three wholesale and 187 stores in the city of Turkestan.
