Agreement Reached with European Company TÜV on Opening a Regional Office in Kazakhstan

A meeting was held in the capital of the European Union between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Margulan Baimukhan and the Executive Vice President for Asia and Africa of the TÜV Group of Companies Yanki Unal, as well as the Business Development Advisor for Kazakhstan of TÜV Bauyrzhan Mukayev, during which the details of opening a regional office in Kazakhstan were discussed in detail.
At the meeting, Yanki Unal highlighted Kazakhstan’s significant role in Central Asia and the dynamic development of various sectors of the country’s economy. According to the company’s leadership, the opening of a regional office will be an important step in strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU, facilitating the expansion of certification processes, ensuring safety, and introducing modern standards in technical regulation.
According to Yanki Unal, the TÜV Group, a global leader in certification, inspection, technical control, environmental compliance, and sustainable development, will bring advanced practices and quality standards that meet international and European requirements to Kazakhstan. This will enable local companies to enter new markets, enhance their competitiveness, and adopt innovative technologies.
TÜV certification holds particular importance for companies engaged in the export and import of goods between Kazakhstan and EU countries. TÜV certificates such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and CE marking confirm compliance with high international standards and facilitate access to the EU market.
In turn, the Kazakh diplomat emphasized that the European Union is Kazakhstan’s largest trade and investment partner. He expressed confidence that the company's timely strategic decision would help expand mutually beneficial economic ties between Kazakhstan and EU member states.
Ambassador Baimukhan also reiterated the Embassy’s readiness to continue assisting European companies seeking to develop their presence in the Kazakh market.
