A MODERN DORMITORY FOR STUDENTS WAS PUT INTO OPERATION AS PART OF PPP IN AKTAU

A solemn ceremony of commissioning a new 210-place student hostel was held in Aktau as part of the implementation of the Five Social Initiatives of the Head of State.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor of Mangistau region Yeraly Tugzhanov, chairman of the Azerbaijani ethnocultural center "Dostlug", philanthropist Shamsadin Huseynov and others.

The three-storey building was fully repaired and improved at the expense of public-private partnership, including 100 million tenge – philanthropist Shamsadin Huseynov’s funds.

The total area of the hostel is 1956.6 sq. m. The rooms accommodate from 2 to 6 people. Each room is equipped with modern furniture.

"Student youth is the future of our country, the main wealth of our state. This year, our young people are waiting for a lot of good news. For example, a "Roadmap" will be developed to address current topical issues. To date, 2,124 college students out of 11086 are students from rural areas. 394 students live in dormitories. 1064 places are necessary. Therefore, our goal is to provide 100% students with dormitories by the end of 2021. And this year we will commission two more dormitories with 460 beds," head of the region Yeraly Tugzhanov said.

There are kitchens equipped with household appliances, sections of bathrooms, as well as recreation areas, reading rooms on each floor of the building, laundry and ironing rooms on the first floor of the dormitory. The building is equipped with wireless network WI FI.
