500 young boxers from 25 Asian countries to meet in Astana
From April 25 to May 8, the capital will host the ASBC Asian Youth and U-22 Boxing Championship, El.kz reports with reference to the city akimat.
About 500 young athletes from 25 Asian countries will take part in the continental championship. The matches will be held according to the Olympic system in two age categories at the Beeline Arena stadium.
The winners and runners-up will be determined on May 7-8. Admission is free for spectators.
In particular, it is expected that the fights will be shown live by the QAZSPORT TV channel. All fights will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.
It should be noted that last year the continental championship among youth and youth was held in Astana for the first time.
The Asian Championship will be held with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, the Directorate for Sports Development and the Akimat of Astana.
