422 new comfortable schools for half a million places have been built in Kazakhstan in 2 years, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Education.
Large-scale construction of new-format schools is envisaged within the framework of the National Project "Comfortable School".
Over the past 10 years, the number of students has increased by more than 1 million and reached 3.9 million, which sets the country the task of ensuring equal access to education in cities and villages.
This year, about 200 schools are under construction, which will create almost 300 thousand new student places and will completely solve the problem of the shortage of places by 2026.
In addition, in 2023-2024, 464 educational organizations were overhauled, and 35 facilities affected by spring floods were restored, which emphasizes the state's systematic approach to the development of the education sector.
