A celebratory event was held to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Indonesia. The event was attended by representatives from government agencies, socio-political, business, and cultural circles of the country, as well as members of the diplomatic corps and Kazakh citizens residing in Indonesia, El.kz cites MFA.

In his speech, Ambassador Serzhan Abdykarimov congratulated the guests and highlighted the successes and achievements in the development of Kazakh-Indonesian friendship and partnership over the past 30 years. This was reflected in high-level visits and meetings between Presidents, significant increases in trade turnover and investment cooperation, as well as the expansion of business and human contacts.

The diplomat emphasized the substantial potential for fully realizing economic prospects and strengthening ties between the two countries in energy, mining, agriculture, food, light industry, education, and tourism.

Speaking about the active construction and expansion of Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics infrastructure, the Ambassador highlighted its particular benefit for Indonesian businesses as an efficient transit hub for trade between Asia and Europe, including through the connection to the “Astana International Financial Center”.

As the representative of the Indonesian government, Bobby Siagian, the Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation with Asia at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, extended congratulations to those in attendance on this momentous occasion. He acknowledged the considerable progress in strengthening comprehensive ties between the two countries over the past 30 years and emphasized the importance of further expanding trade, economic, investment, and tourist cooperation.

As part of the event, members of the “Dimash Indonesian Dears” fan club (the largest Dimash Kudaibergen fan club in the world with over 10,000 members in Indonesia) performed the Kazakh song “Aıttym Salem, Qalamqas” and recited the poem “Qalyń elіm, qazaǵym, qaıran jūrtım” by the great Kazakh writer and poet Abay Qunanbayuly.

Guests were presented with videos showcasing the history, culture, and tourist attractions of Kazakhstan. Additionally, a table with Kazakh national pastries and sweets, such as baursaks, samsa, zhent, chak-chak, and chocolate, was organized. A separate photo exhibition featured the beautiful natural landscapes of the country.
