The South Kazakhstan University named after Mukhtar Auezov hosts the Study in Kazakhstan exhibition. 20 Kazakhstani branches of the world's leading universities presented their opportunities to the residents of the Shymkent region. About four thousand students of 9-11 grades of Shymkent schools attended the event, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
"In Kazakhstan, from 2022 to 2024, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 23 branches of foreign universities have been opened on the basis of strategic partnership. This is a great opportunity for our youth. Now Kazakhstanis can study at the international level without leaving Kazakhstan, and, importantly, get an education at the expense of a state grant. In the branches of foreign universities, the priority is to train specialists in the field of IT and artificial intelligence who are in demand in the market. So, this year, a branch of the Seoul National University of Science and Technology will start working at the Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata," Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education Ruslan Yemelbayev said.
Many applicants expressed great interest in the branch of the Chinese University at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
"Graduates ask about the Chinese University, its opportunities, admission requirements. We have noticed a high demand for specialties in the field of information technology," said Karlygash Borankulova, a representative of the branch.
Applicants carefully familiarize themselves with the specifics of education in the branches of foreign universities, the possibilities of double diplomas, the system of work of branches in our country.
The Study in Kazakhstan exhibition will last until February 7 (until 18.00) at Auezov University.
