1st historical comic for children presented in Astana
The Bozok State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve hosted the presentation of the 1st historical comic "The Journey of Alikhan and Aikerim", El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Representatives of the creative intelligentsia, the scientific community and teachers of secondary schools of the capital took part in the presentation of the historical comic.
According to the Concept of Cultural Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029, approved by the Government Decree on attracting children and adolescents to reading and popularizing Kazakhstani literature, work is underway to create children's comics with a national flavor on the theme of Kazakh heroes, historical events, mythology and current trends, the report says.
Based on international experience, the Bozok Museum-Reserve has published a book addressed to young readers. The text of the comic is written in 3 languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
As part of the event, the participants discussed the importance of children's literature in the formation of the historical consciousness of the younger generation, the need to popularize the historical and cultural heritage and the prospects for the development of children's educational projects.
