1st ever National Festival of Creativity started in Kazakhstan

From April 21 to April 26, Kazakhstan is hosting the 1st ever National Festival of Creativity, timed to coincide with the World Creativity Day, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Figures of art, culture, education and business attended the event.
The program includes over 100 events: lectures, master classes, exhibitions of designers and artists, craft fairs, creative laboratories, public performances by artists, performances, as well as presentations of projects of educational institutions, city initiatives and NGOs.
The purpose of the festival is to promote the development of creative industries and present to the general public projects that are born at the intersection of art, technology and entrepreneurship. This area is already recognized in the world as one of the key factors of innovative growth, employment and cultural expression.
According to the UN, creative industries today form about 3.1% of global GDP and provide 6.2% of jobs, while a significant part of the employed are young people. Analysts predict that by 2030 this figure will grow to 10% of global GDP. In Kazakhstan, the sector's contribution to the country's economy is expected to increase to 2% by 2029.
The organizers emphasize that Kazakhstan's participation in the global cultural movement is not only a recognition of national potential, but also an important step towards international integration in the field of creative economy.
