Yerzhan Yertayev has been appointed Chairman of Committee of atomic and energy supervision and control of the Ministry of Energy, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Yertaev Yerzhan was born in 1985 in the Pavlodar region.
He graduated from the Pavlodar Innovative Eurasian University in 2008 with a major in “Industrial Thermal Power Engineering” and in 2012 with a major in Law.
He started his career in 2006. In 2009, he commenced work in the public sector as the chief specialist of the energy and public utilities department of the Pavlodar region.
From 2013 to 2014, he worked as the chief expert, then the head of the accreditation department of the Committee for State Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2015, he was appointed Head of the Accreditation Department of the Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2015 to 2017, he headed the territorial department of the Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Akmola region.
From 2017 to 2018 - head of the territorial department for the Karaganda region. Prior to his new appointment.
From 2018 - 202 he served as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2021 to 2022 he was Chief of Staff of the Chairman of “Samruk-Energy” JSC Management Board.
2022-2023 - Director General of “Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after B. Nurzhanov” LLP
From 2023 to the present, he has been Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Nuclear and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy.
