From June 19 to June 23, Aktau will host the XXI International Olympiad in the Kazakh language and literature.
The event will be attended by about 50 schoolchildren from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Iran and China, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the Olympiad is to stimulate the study of the Kazakh language and literature among children of the Kazakh diaspora and to encourage the intellectual development of students.
The Olympiad will be held in three rounds: writing essays, research projects on the topic "Historical Knowledge" and a creative presentation on the topic "I Love My Nation". The teams of the participating countries consist of 8 students and 2 leaders.
Winners and prize-winners will receive diplomas of I, II and III degrees from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as gold, silver and bronze medals. The best participants will be awarded with certificates and valuable prizes from the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn", as well as rector's educational grants from prestigious universities in Kazakhstan.
