Each district has its own ethnocultural associations, which preserve the culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people.

It should be noted that the district teams have not failed their regional chairman - all of them have set tables with pebbles and caravans, which were treated to the guests of the holiday, brought with them the generous gifts of their fields - watermelons, melons, pumpkins, which were given to the most active spectators - dancers and dances.

Vladimir Volkov, Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Uralsk, shared that he associates "Sorochinskaya Fair" primarily with the work of the great writer Mikhail Gogol, whose work now belongs to the whole world and admires people in different countries.

The fairs, to which the Ukrainian community invited us today, began as early as the reign of Yaroslav the Wise," said Volodymyr Volkov. - I am pleased to be at this meeting, where people adopt the culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people in lively, direct communication. I am glad that the Ukrainians of the Urals region are friendly and hospitable, were able to organize such a holiday.

The concert, prepared by the creative teams of the Ukrainian Association, literally shone with talented singers and dancers. And, as noted by the presenters of the event, among the speakers were not a single professional artist, all the talents - from the people - ordinary drivers and mechanics, teachers and housewives.

The children's folklore ensemble "Rodnichok" from Peremetnoye village, vocal group "Terektinochka", dance ensemble "Adagio" from Uralsk, musician and journalist Zlata Udovichenko, vocal group "Richenka" from Baiterek district performed with bright numbers, The vocal duet from Burlinskiy rayon - Indira Seminenko and Angela Demchenko, the folk vocal group "Nadezhda" from Taskalinskiy rayon, the folk choir of the regional ethnocultural association "Yednannya" "Bereginya".

Aleksey Ganenko, Head of Burlinskiy Ukrainian Ethnocultural Association "Khutorok", told that this was the third time they had participated in "Sorochinskaya Fair". The distance to Uralsk is not close. They have to carry not only creative staff of amateur artists, but also Ukrainian cuisine, household items, colorful banners.

"I think that every person should remember their roots, take care that their children and grandchildren know the culture and tradition of their people” says Alexey Grigorievich.

“In our family we honor the customs of Ukrainians, try to preserve what our parents have given us. The Assembly gave us an opportunity to share our cultural traditions with the society.

I think it's wonderful. We have a lot of different nuggets and the distance doesn't mean anything if we have the opportunity to meet people who are close in spirit, to talk, to have fun and to entertain others.
