Tokayev receives Special Advisor to Prime Minister of Japan

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received special adviser to Japanese Prime Minister Akihisa Nagashima, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

- Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development of strategic partnership with Japan. Close relations based on friendship and mutual understanding have developed between our countries," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The President of Kazakhstan noted the significant potential for expanding trade, economic, investment, scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries. According to him, the volume of Japanese investments attracted to the economy of our country exceeded $8 billion. Kazakhstan is ready to continue to provide favorable conditions for foreign investors, including leading Japanese companies.

Akihisa Nagashima conveyed warm greetings from Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to the Head of State, and also reaffirmed Tokyo's commitment to further strengthening Kazakh-Japanese multifaceted relations.

The sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the political dialogue at the highest level and discussed the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in such areas as trade, energy, transport, education, climate issues and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
