Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Dmitry Malakhov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
During the meeting, issues of further improvement of the activities of the Supreme Judicial Council were discussed, including efforts aimed at improving and renewing the judiciary, developing the Academy of Justice and strengthening the disciplinary responsibility of judges.
Dmitry Malakhov said that in the light of strengthening the role of the Council itself, to which almost all personnel issues regarding judges have now been transferred, it is necessary to digitalize all business processes and competitive selection.
The President was also informed that cassation courts will begin their work on July 1, 2025. By this time, the Council will select judges and form their compositions.
