Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed on the results of the judicial system’s activities for 2024,El.kz reports citing Akorda.
According to Aslambek Mergaliyev, the priorities of the courts are the protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens and entrepreneurs, as well as ensuring the rule of law.
The President was informed that the number of cases and materials considered is growing with the highest quality of justice over the past 5 years (98.9% of judicial acts of local courts were recognized as lawful and reasonable).
The share of conciliation procedures in civil and administrative cases is increasing. Thanks to the expansion of jurisdiction, the number of cases considered with the participation of jurors doubled from 147 to 261.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court spoke about the introduction of AI technologies, which contribute to the formation of a uniform judicial practice and significantly facilitate the work of judges (a third of cases and materials were considered with the use of robotization - 665 thousand out of 2 million).
Aslambek Mergaliyev also informed about the creation of cassation courts, legislative initiatives aimed at strengthening the independence of judges and expanding the scope of administrative justice.
The Head of State noted the importance of ensuring the rule of law and increasing trust in justice.
