The Head of State had a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
During the conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The President congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the beginning of the International Year of Peace and Trust declared by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan
The Head of our state expressed Kazakhstan's readiness to continue to provide all possible support in their successful implementation. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov informed about the key priorities of the Concept of Turkmenistan's activities within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust, aimed at ensuring cooperation and development at the regional and international levels.
Stressing the current high level of Kazakh-Turkmen relations, the interlocutors reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements at the highest level in the energy, transit, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to issues of regional cooperation and upcoming events in the five-sided format.
