President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
The meeting discussed the key issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Russia.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan and Russia to further strengthen cooperation in the spirit of friendship, good-neighborliness and alliance, which contributes to the dynamic development of interstate relations.
Alexander Novak conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the head of Kazakhstan and stressed the high level of political dialogue and cooperation between the countries.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of energy cooperation, including the development of strategic projects in this area.
