It is very important that economic cooperation between our countries is also developing successfully. We have reached agreements on 171 projects, and more than 50 projects have already reached the final stage of implementation. Russia is now one of the main investors in the Kazakh economy. I think that cooperation between the law enforcement agencies and the defence ministries of our states is also developing successfully. I believe that your visit is a good opportunity to once again review what is being done in our cooperation and agree on new areas of cooperation between our countries," the Head of State said.

The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to meet and discuss the issues of regional security.

The relations that have developed between our states are constantly maintained at a very high level. The volume of trade and our joint projects is impressive. Of course, our interaction is not limited to bilateral cooperation. We are actively working within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the CSTO, the CIS and the EAEU. Projects that were initiated by Kazakhstan, among other things, are successfully and actively developing," Sergei Shoigu said.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on increasing the effectiveness of cooperation between the two states in the field of security.
