State Counselor Yerlan Karin received the winners and prize-winners of the world subject Olympiads,El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
During the meeting, Yerlan Karin noted that Kazakh schoolchildren annually win prizes at many international intellectual championships. This year, they won 26 medals at the world subject Olympiads, successfully defending the honor of their country.
The State Counselor also recalled that the Head of State, in a recent speech at the forum of deputies, called on society to honor not only athletes, but also the winners of intellectual Olympiads and competitions. Today, Kazakhstan is one of the few countries in which there is such a practice of encouraging the winners of the Olympiads.
Yerlan Karin said that the state creates all conditions for the full self-realization of the younger generation, primarily in the field of education and science.
At one of the meetings of the National Kurultay, the President called education, science and culture as the basis for the formation of a new quality of the nation.
Following the meeting, the State Counselor once again congratulated the winners of the Olympiads, noting that they have become an example of success for Kazakh youth through hard work, creation and innovation.
