A solemn welcoming ceremony was held at Akorda Palace for President of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit, El.kz reports.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Denis Sassou Nguesso introduced the members of the official delegations to each other. The Head of the Honor guard company gave a welcome report to the leaders, and the national anthems of the two countries were played.
Following the ceremony, the heads of state held talks in a narrow format.
