This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev at the Creative Industry of Shymkent 2023 forum, El.kz reports with reference to the city akimat.
Yerkinbayev stressed that Shymkent has great tourist potential with its natural attractions, historical and cultural sites and delicious gastronomy of the city. And most importantly, he noted the success with which the region copes with the tasks of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to achieve target indicators in terms of attracting investment in the tourism industry.
Taking into account the capabilities of the region, Yerzhan Yerkinbayev voiced the need to build a ski complex, which will give even more impetus to the development of tourism in the region.
"Over time, we hope that the territory of Kaskasu will become the hallmark of ski tourism. Work in this direction is underway," said the Deputy Minister of MTS of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Yerzhan Yerkinbayev also shared his views on the development of creative industries in the region and in the country as a whole.
