At the initiative of the Uzbek side, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed deep condolences to the Head of State and the people of Kazakhstan in connection with the human casualties as a result of large-scale fires in the Abai region. Shavkat Mirziyoyev asked to convey words of sympathy and support to the families of the victims.
During the conversation, the heads of state reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanged views on the current situation in the world.
