The Ministry and the Asian Development Bank signed a memorandum on the development of student dormitories, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek with representatives of the Asian Development Bank, issues of public-private partnership in the construction of student dormitories were discussed.
"In particular, it is planned to build student dormitories in Almaty at Satbayev University for 5900 beds," the report says.
Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek noted that the responsibility of universities for providing students with places in dormitories has been strengthened.

The meeting resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Intent between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership and the Asian Development Bank regarding the development of the infrastructure of student dormitories within the framework of the program PPP in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
