First Deputy PM of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held a meeting with the leadership of the large Turkish holding Alarko, which has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1993,El.kz reports citing the press service of the Prime Minister.
The holding has implemented a large-scale infrastructure project for the construction of the Big Almaty Ring Road (BAKAD).
In addition, to date, Alarko is investing more than $650 million in the construction of a large greenhouse complex in Shymkent on an area of over 500 hectares.
The management of the holding noted that as part of the construction of the greenhouse, it is planned to gradually create a "social belt" around it. Including the construction of a specialized academy for the training of agricultural specialists according to international standards.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in further strengthening investment cooperation.
